Corporate headshots and event photography can be combined into a single, efficient shoot, giving businesses both professional portraits and natural event coverage in one day.
I was invited to photograph Dentsply Sirona during an internal meeting at Wotton House Hotel in Dorking, Surrey, capturing a series of professional headshots throughout the day before moving into coverage of the evening drinks reception and socialising.
The result was a varied set of images that gave the team updated professional portraits, while also documenting the more relaxed atmosphere and connection that developed later in the day.

A practical way to combine headshots with event coverage
For many businesses, organising separate shoot days for team headshots and company event photography can be time-consuming. Bringing both into the same day is often a far more practical option.
For this event, the aim was to:
capture clean, professional headshots for team members during the daytime meeting
work efficiently around the schedule without disrupting the flow of the day
document the drinks reception and evening social in a natural, unobtrusive way
create a gallery of images that could be used across LinkedIn, internal communications, websites and wider marketing
This kind of combined coverage works particularly well for companies that want strong imagery without pulling people away for a separate portrait session on another date.
Professional headshots captured on location
The headshots were photographed on site at Wotton House using a clean, simple approach designed to keep the portraits polished and consistent.
Rather than overcomplicating the setup, the focus was on creating images that felt professional, approachable, well lit and consistent across the team.
That balance is often what businesses need most, especially for LinkedIn profiles, internal profiles, speaker biographies and company materials. The aim is not to make people look stiff or overly formal, but to create portraits that feel confident, natural and aligned with the brand.
A big part of the process is also helping people feel comfortable in front of the camera. Most people are not used to being photographed professionally, so working quickly and keeping the experience relaxed makes a real difference to the final result.
I regularly provide corporate headshots in Birmingham and across the UK, helping businesses create consistent, professional imagery for their teams. While this event took place in Surrey, I regularly photograph corporate headshots and events across Birmingham, the West Midlands, London and throughout the UK.

A venue that worked well for both portraits and atmosphere
Wotton House Hotel provided a strong backdrop for the day, with elegant interiors and a setting that suited both the formal and informal sides of the event.
It worked particularly well because the venue supported two different needs:
a professional environment for the daytime headshots
a more characterful setting for the evening drinks, conversations and social moments
That transition is one of the reasons mixed coverage like this can work so well. Clients come away with not just portraits, but a wider visual story of the day.
Evening drinks and natural company event photography
As the day moved into the evening, the photography shifted from individual portraits to candid event coverage.
This part of the gallery focused on:
guests chatting and socialising
natural reactions and interaction
group photographs
the overall look and feel of the event as the atmosphere became more relaxed
These images are often just as valuable as the headshots themselves. They help businesses show personality, culture and connection, which is especially useful for recruitment, internal communications, LinkedIn content and future event promotion.
They also help give a more complete picture of the team, not just who people are professionally, but how the business brings people together.
Alongside headshots, I also provide corporate event photography to capture the wider story of the day.

Why combining headshots and event photography works so well
This kind of booking is ideal for businesses that want to create a stronger image library from a single event.
Instead of only coming away with coverage of the day, or only headshots, the team gets both:
updated portraits for professional use
natural images of colleagues interacting
group photographs
venue and atmosphere imagery
a more rounded set of content for ongoing marketing and communications
For clients, it is an efficient way to make better use of everyone’s time. For marketing teams, it provides a much more useful mix of images.
